NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the
active participation of citizens in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce
crime in their communities. It involves: neighbors getting to know each other
and working together in a program of mutual assistance; citizens being trained
to recognize and report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods; and
implementation of crime prevention techniques such as home security, operation
Identification, etc. To organize a Neighborhood Watch program in your
neighborhood, you may contact one of the following:
During 2005 Corona del Mar residents have been victimized by burglaries of
their homes,
vehicles and garages. This is a trend we need to be mindful of and take measures
to
prevent. Be extra cautious and mindful of your surroundings at all times. Open
doors and
windows are an invite to unwanted intruders.
Contact your local Neighborhood Watch Captain for information about keeping your
home
and neighborhood safe.
